Knitwear program for a US brand
Developed fabrics, iterated samples across rounds, and ran inline checks plus a final AQL inspection before bulk shipping.
The challenge
A Los Angeles apparel brand wanted to move a five-style knitwear series from a domestic supplier to China without a quality dip — fabric hand-feel and stitching density were the make-or-break specs.
What we did
- 1
Developed the fabric first
Worked with two Zhejiang mills to match the hand-feel sample before talking price — GSM and stitch density verified in a lab.
- 2
Iterated samples across three rounds
Fit comments turned into tech-pack revisions; photo reports every round so the brand could approve remotely.
- 3
Inspected inline and pre-shipment
Inline check at 40% production, final AQL 2.5 inspection with measurement of every size run.
Outcome
- Three sample rounds to final approval
- AQL 2.5 passed on final inspection
- DDP delivered to Los Angeles
3 sample rounds · AQL 2.5 passed · DDP to Los Angeles
