CNC parts for a machinery distributor
Sourced three qualified machining factories in Shandong, compared samples and pricing, and managed production follow-up with dimensional inspection reports.
The challenge
A Bavarian machinery distributor needed 4,000 CNC-milled housings at a target price their existing European supplier could not approach. Tolerances were tight (±0.02 mm) and every batch required dimensional inspection reports.
What we did
- 1
Shortlisted three machining factories
Audited shops in Shandong with CNC centers capable of ±0.02 mm; checked export records and existing machinery clients.
- 2
Compared samples head-to-head
Same drawing, same aluminum billet — first articles from all three factories measured on a CMM, full report shared with the buyer.
- 3
Followed production weekly
Weekly photos plus in-line dimensional checks; final inspection against the drawing before the container closed.
Outcome
- 12% under the buyer's target price
- 2×40HQ delivered to Hamburg, zero claims
- Dimensional reports on file for every batch
12% under target price · 2×40HQ to Hamburg
